Welcome to Hardwood Country Club

She’s only in town for two weeks. He’s never left.

Justin Wheeler likes his winters quiet. Same stool, same counter, same stack of paperbacks, in a golf shop buried under four inches of snow where nothing ever happens in January. Then a tiny blonde walks in wearing a men’s button-down, high-tops, and no coat, and January stops being quiet.Courtney is in Hardwood for two weeks, hiding out at her uncle’s house and finishing the plan for the project she’s spent a year building: clean water for six villages on the other side of the world. She doesn’t mention her last name. She doesn’t mention the ex-fiancé, the four-carat ring, or the video the rest of the country can’t stop watching. (In her defense, it was a very good martini.)Justin doesn’t read the tabloids. He knows the important stuff. She’s read Harry Potter six times, she can’t do an English accent to save her life, and she’s leaving in two weeks. But two weeks is a long time to keep a secret in a town this small, and a short time to fall this hard. When the world finally finds Courtney in Hardwood, they’ll both have to decide what they’re brave enough to go after.
